Lake Tahoe Beach Wedding in Zephyr Cove, NV

Zephyr Cove Wedding  |  Jen & Jake

I had been looking forward to this Tahoe wedding for a while…ever since I met this easy-going-fun pair in San Francisco to take their engagement photos. Every detail was thought of for this beautiful fall wedding on the beach of Zepyr Cove Resort, which was the perfect destination wedding for this Bay Area couple!

When I spoke with Jen a week before the wedding, she mentioned a storm coming the day after the wedding. This made me check the weather forecast about a million times before the wedding. The rain seemed to be moving closer and closer, so I decided to be extra prepared and buy a clear umbrella for photos…just. in. case. This started the great umbrella hunt. I found the only store to carry a clear umbrella to be Walmart. Well, after visiting 4 Walmart stores in the greater Sacramento area, I FINALLY got the umbrella I wanted. Even though there was a storm moving in, nothing could ruin this amazing day.  The rain held off until the dark of night as everyone danced away under the warmth of the tent. This is when I snuck the happy couple away and gave them my special umbrella to attempt to keep them dry. The cold had moved in as well, and we were able to take about 5 photos. As you can see, I was beyond ecstatic when I saw the outcome. A happy ending to a very happy day. Jen and Jake are such a kind and loving couple, who got the perfect day they greatly deserved. What was even more apparent was that each and every family member and guest showed enormous love for this couple. It was truly a privilege to share this day with them!
